Measure with pointer multimeter
Rotate the switch to the K-file range, use the meter needle to contact the positive and negative poles of the capacitor to see if the capacitor has the phenomenon of discharge.
If the meter needle swings up to the right and returns to the left, it proves that the capacitor accident is good; if the meter needle swings up and slowly returns to a certain position and stops, it proves that the capacitor is leaking and should be repaired in time.
Measure with digital capacitance meter
Compared with the pointer multimeter, this operation is simpler to check, firstly, the positive and negative meter needles of the capacitor meter will touch the positive and negative poles of the capacitor respectively. If the value is close to or equal to the nominal capacity of the capacitor case, it proves that the capacitor is not broken and can be used; if the value is obviously lower than the nominal capacity of the capacitor case, it proves that the capacitor is damaged and should be replaced with a new one in time.
Short connect with two wires
